Rand Morimoto, Ph.D.

Partner / Principal Consultant / Chief Executive Officer

Rand has been in the computer industry for over 25-years and is an internationally known public speaker and author of several books ranging from security, Microsoft Windows networking, Microsoft Exchange messaging, and B2B business transactions. Rand has a Ph.D. in Organization and Management and an MBA in Strategic Planning. Rand creates and oversees the business strategy of the organization, and leads the public awareness and public relations operations of the business. Rand is also a Board member for the NASA and Smithsonian Institute affiliate Chabot Space and Science Center, and Regent on the Board of Regents for St.Mary's College.

 

 

Chris Amaris

Partner / Principal Consultant / Chief Technology Officer

Chris Amaris is the Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of Convergent Computing. He has over 15 years experience consulting for Fortune 500 companies, leading companies in the technology selection, design, planning, implementation and troubleshooting of complex Information Technology projects. He specializes in security, performance tuning, network/systems management, infrastructure migration and messaging. A Windows 2003 MCSE, Novell CNE, Banyan CBE, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (ISSAP), and a Certified Project Manager, Chris is also an author, contributing writer and technical editor for a number of IT books. Michael Noel

Partner / Principal Consultant

Michael is a consultant at Convergent Computing specializing in Active Directory designs, NT4 to Windows 2003 migrations, and Exchange v5.5 to Exchange 2003 migrations. Michael is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and co-author of the best selling books "Windows Server 2003 Unleashed," "Exchange Server 2003 Unleashed," and "SharePoint Server 2003 Unleashed."  Mike will add "ISA Server 2004 Unleashed" to his list of publications later in 2004. Mike was also a contributing writer to Sams Publishing's book "Microsoft Operations Manager".

 

Andrew Abbate

Andrew has been in the computer industry for over 10-years and is a specialist in AD and Exchange migration planning and implementations, firewall and security planning and implementation, Layer 2 & 3 switching, and wide area connectivity. Ross Mistry

Partner / Principal Consultant

Ross has been in the computer industry for over 8 years. His primary focus is Active Directory and Exchange upgrades and migrations for large organizations with a global presence. He also specializes in SQL Server Administration, SQL Server Development, High Availability Clustering, Microsoft Operations Manager and the Exchange Resource Forest Model. Ross received a Bachelor of Commerce specializing in Business Information Systems and Strategic Planning from Ryerson Polytechnic University in Toronto, Canada. He has a minor in Communications and Finance and is also a Microsoft Certified Database Administrator, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator. Ross has been a Keynote Speaker on SQL Server Best Practices at Microsoft’s Silicon Valley campus. Colin Spence

Colin Spence has been in the computer industry for over 12-years and is a partner of Convergent Computing, and is a senior consultant in the area of business processes and information system operations. Colin is the co-author of the best selling book "SharePoint Technologies 2003 Unleashed" and has been a contributing writer for “Microsoft Exchange 2000, Conferencing Server, and SharePoint Portal Server 2001,” “Windows Server 2003 Unleashed,” and "Exchange Server 2003 Unleashed" books by SAMS publishing.  Colin has a BA from Cornell University and three years of Business Education from Hecht and Associates in Santa Clara California.

 

Anne Walker, MBA

Partner / Enterprise Project Manager

Anne Walker is an Enterprise Project Manager for Convergent Computing, a nationally recognized consulting, technical services, and IT staffing organization. For the past 7 years, Anne has project managed simple and complex technical projects, which include a 30 site, 7,000+ user enterprise wide migration of all equipment, email, data and applications. Anne has also in those 7 years participated on the engineering side of installing, supporting and troubleshooting IT infrastructure. Anne has been largely involved with developing internal project management processes for Convergent and past employers. Enterprise Project Manager, MCSE, PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certified, and contributing writer for “IT Project Management”. Anne graduated with honors with a Master of Business Administration degree from St.Mary's College of California.

 

 

 

Brian Peladeau

Consultant

Brian has been in the computer industry for over 10 years working mostly in the areas of Infrastructure, Network operating Systems, Messaging, and Security across multiple platforms. Brian has completed his AAS Degree in Computer and Electronics technology at Heald Institute, as well as the following certifications, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, (Windows 2003), Novell Certified Netware Engineer, (Netware 6), Cisco Certified Network Associate. Jeff Guillet

Jeff has been in the IT industry since 1984. He is an expert in multiple technologies including Windows 2003, Exchange Server 2003, Active Directory, Network Security and AntiVirus.
